In an effort to enforce the CC&R’s, four out of five North Heights board members voted to contract with Arizona Parking Solutions in the November board meeting to patrol and police all North Heights streets and driveways twice a month.
Board members who voted for this decision made the decision to determine if there is a parking violation problem in the community.
The patrolling and policing took effect Feb. 1, 2013.
As a resident of North Heights, I feel this decision is a violation to my rights to privacy. The patrolling is selective as it only patrols Monday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
There are numerous homes in the community that, due to topography and construction, it is impossible to determine compliance without trespassing on the property. Consequently enforcement is inconsistent and unfair.
Further, since patrolling is at night, the board has approved Arizona Parking Solutions to use their equipment to aid in locating violators.
If you too have an issue with this decision, I encourage you to contact Ashley Coke at acoke@rossmar.com, consider running for the board or vote to create a new board in the upcoming election.
