I just finished reading the column written by Mr. Eric Massey and Mr. Phil McNeely regarding No Burn Days.
Nice column, only it fails to address the smoke pollution created every year by the Department of Interior, in particular the U.S. Forest Service, who are too lazy to use a wood chipper to rid the forest of so called “fuels,” but take the easy way out and pile up tons of this wood and just set fire to it, which burns slowly for days on end, polluting hundreds of square miles of forest land with this smoke.
The smoke never fails to come down into the Valley each year; so why have no burn days for people who have fireplaces in their homes and wish to enjoy a nice fire once in a while.

Why don’t you two start to practice what you preach to everyone and get on the U.S. Forest and enforce the rules on them instead of everyone here in Maricopa County?
Try doing your job for once and apply the rules to everyone, and maybe the public would better appreciate your efforts!
