Our Town Council was recently informed that state law prohibits us from posting signs in our parks that prohibits firearms.
The council voted nearly unanimously to take down the signs. Gun worshipers and lobbyists have been steadily building a campaign of intimidation on many fronts across the country.
As a letter-to-editor writer I have been subjected to part of this intimidation campaign myself (mailed messages that let me know that they had guns and know exactly where I live).

They intimidate -- that is the way they operate. We have voted their people in. They are daring us to give a damn.
