On March 30, we homeowners of North Heights will elect our 2016 board; thankfully the candidates are highly qualified.

I’ve participated on the Committee of Architecture for the past 17 years and a board member for the past three years; the present board has been the most productive and efficient.

When I started on the board, the meetings were a tug of war lasting six hours with little being resolved; today were finished in two hours with decisions made and issues resolved.

The separation of responsibilities under the leadership of Board President Don Doty has enabled the board to function as one; he’s a great task master and his follow-through is dogged.

Art Ammon has reduced the delinquency problem to a trickle by contacting homeowners involved and educating them as to the timeframes for the various issues they experienced as well as seeing that dollar credits are paid to those who overpaid for annual assessments or fines. He also assists Don with projects that need immediate attention.

Ralph Donnelly has done yeoman’s work with the landscaping projects from the change in the provider of services to the community, wash maintenance and informing homeowners to vegetation encroachment.

This team has built stability and confidence in the HOA operation; let’s elect Don Doty, Ralph Donnelly and Art Ammon to another term.
