Phil Gaziano paraded out his accomplishments on the North Heights board in last week’s letter to the editor soliciting votes.
Let’s look at some of those accomplishments. He states the board accomplished a lot; he makes it sound as if the accomplishments are all due to him. The present board initially decided to divide up areas of responsibilities among the members.
Another board member was responsible for the new landscaper...not Phil. He talks of the financial wellbeing of the HOA...he is not the treasurer. The restricting of street parking, again was another board member’s responsibility.

Phil is responsible for the Architectural Committee. He talks about prospective buyers enjoying our open streets. When was the last time you saw a sold sign in North Heights? Among the new builds...we have a house that looks like a warehouse, another that towers over the adjoining homes.
The architectural committee and the board, under his guidance, approved moving disturbance areas for a few people. Wouldn’t a lot of us have liked that same consideration when we built? Under his direction of the architectural committee, the guidelines have not been adhered to. Fences have exceeded the limit of six feet and housing elevations have exceeded the guidelines.
Finally, as previously stated, he has willy nilly approved moving disturbance areas for some. The architectural guidelines were established so that we could have a community that was beautiful and all residences blended well with the desert and the surrounding homes.
When we all built we were told we had to abide by the guidelines. Why can’t the architectural committee, under Phil’s direction do the same thing? Is this the person that you want to vote for?
