North Heights

As a 20-year property owner and resident in North Heights, I am proud of the accomplishments of our current Homeowners Association board members.

Based on individual areas of expertise, each board member leads an area of responsibility such as landscaping, architectural, finance, parking, etc.

As the leader of the Architectural Committee, Phil Gaziano and his team can be faced with controversial decisions. Many of us desire our own unique architectural styles that may or may not conflict with the established covenants of the HOA or the building codes of the town. Also, given our own unique opinion or preference, we may question how a particular residence is in compliance with these requirements.

As a 20-year property owner and resident in North Heights, I am proud of the accomplishments of our current Homeowners Association board members.

I read the recent letter to the editor complaining about the Architectural Committee – that Phil chairs – and the handling of building heights, fences and building disturbance issues.

I decided to investigate these alleged abuses with the president of the HOA. He provided me with substantiated evidence that all of the complaints were investigated and each of the allegations was answered in writing.

This led me to write this letter to provide the facts for the North Heights community. The covenants and town codes were followed in each instance. The HOA performed their duties by diligently investigating each concern; all of them were found to be unsubstantiated.

Thank you Phil Gaziano, the architectural committee and the entire HOA for your dedicated service and integrity. You effectively and efficiently keep North Heights a highly desirable area in which to live.
