Family event hosts spooky games and scavenger hunt

The River of Time joins the Fountain Hills Library for a night of family fright with a haunted museum, spooky games, treats and crafts.

The Tuesday, Oct. 24, event is free and perfect for families with children 12 and under.

Little ghosts and goblins are invited to search for treats and treasures throughout the River of Time’s haunted halls. This scavenger hunt experience is being offered in coordination with the Maricopa County Fountain Hills Library during “Fright Night” from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, and again just at the River of Time Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Come in costume and use the scavenger hunt clues to discover the bats, beaver and spirits that are haunting the River of Time. Witches, spiders and skeletons will make their appearance, along the darkened pathways and special “dinosaur eggs” with treats will be passed out to those who are able to solve all the clues.

Selfie opportunities with costumed characters are located throughout the haunted halls.

This free event is held at the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center, 12901 N. La Montana Drive.

The museum hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
