Olga Johnson

Olga (Ollie), Johnson 87, from Jamestown, North Dakota, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at Fountain View Village in Fountain Hills. She has been a resident of Fountain View Village for four and one half years.

Ollie was born Oct. 13, 1927 in Walcott, N.D., the daughter of Rasmus and Betsie Bakke. She grew up in Walcott, N.D., graduated from Fargo High School, Fargo, N.D. and worked as a secretary where she met the love of her life, Dennis Johnson.

They made their home in Jamestown, N.D. and were married for 63 years. They owned and operated an auto parts store and were charter members of Atonement Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

Olga is survived by one son, Mark (Mary) Johnson of Fountain Hills; three daughters, Valerie (Joe) McGrath of Wabasha, Minn., Debra Kennedy of Bristol, Tenn., Lori (Len) of Rosemount, Minn.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Fountain Hills Christian Center, Fountain Hills. A private burial will be held at a later date at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
