Among the several races being contested in this election year is the one for our two elected representatives to the Arizona State House of Representatives. Meeting the candidates and hearing their views on issues of importance to all of us is vital to selecting the best candidates for the office.

In keeping with our tradition of providing a local, convenient venue for you to meet and evaluate the candidates, Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party will be hosting a forum for LD 23 House candidates on Tuesday, April 15, starting at 6:30 p.m. The forum will be held at Fountain Hills School District Learning Center at Palisades and Golden Eagle boulevards. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

The candidates participating in this event include our current Rep. Michelle Ugenti, Chuck Schmidt, Jay Lawrence, Effie Carlson, Scottsdale City Councilman Bob Littlefield and John Strasser. They will explain their campaign platform and how they plan to address the state’s budget and other pressing issues. As always, Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party meetings provide ample opportunity to ask questions and get the answers, first-hand.

Responsible government demands the action of concerned and committed citizens. It demands that we become educated, motivated, and involved. Please join your neighbors at Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party on Tuesday, April 15, 6:30 p.m., at FHUSD Learning Center. Bring a friend, bring a teen, bring your questions. Admission is free but donations to offset expenses are gratefully accepted and appreciated.
