Construction work for the first phase of the renovation project on the Quail Run Golf Course at Rio Verde is well underway as the course has been completely closed for a couple of weeks now.
The closure will extend through the summer to a projected opening in October.
The renovation being done by Heritage Links primarily concerns tees, bunkers and greens.
Morning walking program areas that are off-limits will be clearly marked with signs. Walkers who enjoy the morning walking program may continue to walk on White Wing Golf Course throughout the project. Walkers using the open holes should be off the courses by 7 a.m. Member safety is important, and the club appreciates cooperation with the walking program adjustments during construction and the grow-in period.
Individuals authorized to be in these areas will be wearing brightly colored construction vests. The Club will not accept liability that may result from unauthorized trespassing during this project. Monitoring will be ongoing and will include the use of postings, rangers, managers and unmanned aerial vehicles. Trespassers will be subject to Club disciplinary action and other measures.
Construction updates during Project RENEW Phase 1 construction will be posted to the ForeTees App with relevant information. Members who don’t already have the App can download it on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Construction-related updates will also be posted on the Rio Verde website. Members with questions or concerns may contact the Club at projectrenew@rioverdecc.com.
