Fountain Hills Fire Department is inviting the public to visit its new addition at Fire Station No. 1 on Palisades Boulevard at Avenue of the Fountains Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The open house will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. and will include comments from Mayor Linda Kavanagh and refreshments.
The new addition, including the demolition of the old trailer that housed the original fire station, added approximately 1,700 square feet to the facility and provides new sleeping quarters for on-duty crews.

Open house for fire station addition

Fountain Hills Fire Department is inviting the public to visit its new addition at Fire Station No. 1 on Palisades Boulevard at Avenue of the Fountains Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The open house will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. and will include comments from Mayor Linda Kavanagh and refreshments.
The new addition, including the demolition of the old trailer that housed the original fire station, added approximately 1,700 square feet to the facility and provides new sleeping quarters for on-duty crews.
The existing bunk rooms were renovated to house an ambulance crew stationed in Fountain Hills.
