Operation Christmas Child recipient shares story in Fountain Hills

Dioany Yosuino says shoebox gift had ‘big impact’ on her life

Members of Desert Creek Fellowship recently heard a powerful testimony from a young woman whose life was forever touched by a shoebox gift she received nearly 15 years ago through Operation Christmas Child.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of the international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse, delivers shoebox gifts packed with toys, school supplies and personal items to children around the world as a way of sharing the love of Jesus Christ. Over the past 32 years, more than 232 million shoeboxes have been distributed in more than 170 countries and territories.

For 11-year-old Dioany Yosuino who grew up in Venezuela, that gift arrived at just the right time.
