Take a look at our town. Do you like what you see? There is a reason. We are benefiting from the foresight of previous councils since the very beginning of incorporation to enact laws protecting the beauty of our community.
Candidate Lina Bellenir would have us believe that ordinances contribute to the woes of the local economy.
If only every business could have a sign of any dimension, even lit up, they would certainly thrive. Those pesky fees for building inspections could just be eliminated. And forget complying with environmental considerations. Guaranteed success… just reduce regulations. Government is only needed for infrastructure and safety; otherwise it should just get out of the way.

Need population? If homeowners could build additions of any size and height, erect 10-foot unfinished block walls and own unrestricted storage sheds, they would move here in droves. And those yard sale signs could stay up from one weekend to the next and be placed anywhere around town.
Want to work on your car restoration project for six months in your driveway? Or run a business from home with unlimited traffic in and out, and parking on unpaved areas? Maybe start blowing leaves at 4 a.m.?
Feel free if the “no government is good government” leaning candidate Lina Bellenir wins and her agenda becomes reality.
