Our share

My husband attended the March 8 property tax information meeting and also read the FAQs. He went to the meeting because he likes to stay informed, not to make up his mind.

We’ve owned homes in a lot of places (Alaska, San Francisco Bay area, Seattle) and, compared to what we paid everywhere else, our Fountain Hills property tax is chickenfeed. We know that the value of our house will suffer if the town can’t maintain its infrastructure and we can’t afford to take the hit.

We’re happy to pay our share. He also thought the FAQs were informative and well written. And when Ginny Russo Dickey is mayor, we’ll trust that our money is being well spent.
