When I remember the unanimous decision of the Town of Fountain Hills to restrict trash collection to one company contracted by town officials because of potential damage to the roads and uncontrolled traffic of large trucks, I suggested to P&Z and Bob Rodgers, town senior planner, that Eagle Ridge Drive be designated a permanent dead end street for all the same reasons.
Our CopperWynd HOA was not contracted with Republic, so we lost our trash collection fee that formerly had been included in our maintenance fee. The decision of the HOA was that owners would pay the town trash collection company out of pocket.
This decision by the town sounded reasonable to protect our roads, reduce daily heavy truck traffic and the performance of the contracted company had to be highly competitive.

This decision by the town sounded reasonable to protect our roads, reduce daily heavy truck traffic and the performance of the contracted company had to be highly competitive.
We now prevail upon our Town Council, mayor, engineers, P&Z and all politicians to follow continuity with protection of the roads and uncontrolled residential development in our community.
I believe the trash collection precedent was established for the same reasons our community is protesting the amendments to the MCO project.
