What is everyone thinking about? I have lived here since 1990 and wanted to be here because I had a vision of a small community that I felt safe to come to and raise my children. I had a vision that Fountain Hills would focus on our children; having a community pool, large play areas, the possibility of building an indoor play facility because of the desert heat. How about a water park?
If you are thinking of getting outside revenue; a park with a beautiful amphitheater for concerts not just every now and then, one that stays busy all the time for outside revenue. A community pool that will attract diving competitions and save a child’s life, swimming classes, aerobics for the young and old. How about an ice skating rink at the park in the winter for outside revenue?

I can only tell you there is so much potential that we could gain in the winter months around our town that would generate outside revenue. You’re talking lagoon, plus you have maybe taken our tax-payers’ money to provide us with a feasibility study without some kind of input from the people of this town!
Go down to the Fountain Park on the weekends and take your child or grandchild to that beautiful water park that Rotary put in and you will observe people with different languages giving themselves and their children a bath at the splash pad. Just to inform you, they don’t spend any revenue in our town; they bring their own food in a cooler.
My opinion, it’s not how we bring outside revenue to our town, it’s how we make our town the best place to raise a family and live. My vision never came to life.
