Overcoming evil

I was shocked by Kimberly Miller’s Sept. 10 letter with explicit description and examples of bestiality, sodomy. And even more upset with The Times for printing such a lengthy letter.

Youths do read The Times. Ms. Miller informed readers to go to the Internet to see a video of what I call evil doings. She went on with a story about Borneo’s practices with orangutans.

How did this discussion even come about? Ms. Dorothy Wolovlek’s Aug. 20 letter entitled “Reach for the Truth” included one word, bestiality, in a list of thoughts that stated what is next (implied in our society).

Out of context Ms. Miller built a whole response, which I felt was trashy reading. I have never seen anything like it in The Times.

Ms. Wolovlek is my neighbor and a Christian friend who is concerned about the failings of our nation. She researches all her materials before she submits letters to The Times.

I must add, we Americans must fight for the truth and not be sidetracked. Every day is special, so do not waste time on trivial things, or we will lost sight of our goals.

Thanks be to God, we can overcome evil now.
