We live in an era of scarce resources. Each one of Fountain Hills’ elected officials must act as a prudent custodian of Town monies. These officials will always be admonished by the citizens to spend carefully.
But, careful collection of all monies owed to the Town is equally important. Information has become available that indicates that the developer building Park Place (on Avenue of the Fountains) owes the Town more than $450,000 in taxes and permit fees. I understand that the developer has chosen to ignore collection letters from the Town. Legal remedies are available. The Town also enjoys significant leverage at this stage of construction.
Mr. Editor, I hope that you and The Times will join me in calling on our elected Council and Mayor to collect what is owed to Fountain Hills.
