Oxygen, a necessity of life; and together with laughter, life becomes much more.
Jacques Tati and his alter ego, Monsieur Hulot, are the ones who are right. Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and all the past greats agree; comedy – unbeatable comedy – is needed now more than ever.
Fools in the world are manifest and legion, distributed worldwide, existing in every city and town, nook and cranny, every high position and low. Flawed, these fools are not comedians and do not do slapstick; they steal laughter from us.

Charlie Hebdo, a magazine character, tried to change tragedy to comedy by saying in Paris recently, after a terrorist attack, “They may have guns, but we have champagne.”
Imagine, Charlie, speaking with much more inspiration than phony political podium speakers, demagogues and dissimulating pundits with their own agendas; men and women of low repute, “yappers.”
“Yappers,” like those thieving fools which steal laughter, are like carbon dioxide, a human waste product no one needs. Who can possibly say otherwise? Except those yappers themselves, well, maybe trees.
