I would like to send my thanks and give kudos to the new owners of the OYO Frozen Yogurt shop at the Plaza Fountainside, who accepted a youth mission fundraiser in stride through a change of shop ownership.

Planning of our event had already been set in motion when the new owners took possession of the shop, and somewhere along the line the information apparently wasn’t passed along.

Through OYO’s generosity in honoring our UMYF youth mission fundraiser, nearly $200 was raised to help send our teens on their work trip this summer. A huge thank you to Alex at OYO, and a huge thank you to everyone who stopped in to buy a treat on Sunday, March 23.

It gives me hope for the future to think that there are still good-hearted business owners willing to step up and help a non-profit organization in this way. I am greatly encouraged. If you haven’t yet had a chance to visit this very clean, bright, fun shop, be sure to give them a try; their frozen yogurt is healthy and delicious, and their selection of toppings is endless!
