Paige Productions Youth Theater (PYT) invites young performers to enroll and perform in the stage production of “High School Musical 2 Jr.”

This is an opportunity for kids aged 4 to 18 to take center stage and be part of a vibrant theatrical experience, a press release read.

Following the success of the production of “High School Musical 1 Jr.” last year, Paige Beckman, artistic director of Paige Productions, has decided to recreate the magic once more.

“Last May we staged part one of the ‘High School Musical Jr.’ series. Hands down it was our most popular show yet. Performers and audience members still talk about how great it was to watch and perform in. We had an outstanding cast and are hoping to get them involved again and create opportunities for new performers to get involved in the magic as well,” Beckman said.

“High School Musical 2 Jr.” follows the popular movie series where the gang from East High celebrates the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. The local golf club becomes an exciting backdrop where rocking songs, action-packed dance numbers light up the stage.

“High School Musical 2 Jr.” promises to be an exhilarating showcase of talent, enthusiasm and teamwork, the release said. Through this production, participants will hone their skills and build confidence, forge friendships and create unforgettable memories on stage, the release added.

“High School Musical 2 Jr.” is part of the Theater for Busy Kids program at PYT. Kids prepare for a production in a limited number of rehearsals allowing time for other activities and school. This production features 10 rehearsals and three evening performances.

More details about all productions and enrollment information can be found at paigeproductionsAZ.com. Paige Productions is also offering performance opportunities for “Alice in Wonderland” and “Beauty & the Beast Jr.” in the spring.
