Pamela Stout Hunt, 61, passed away quietly in her sleep on April 12, 2016, after having braved diabetic complications and amputation.

She was born in Rochester, N.Y., June 18, 1954, and moved with her parents to Paradise Valley in 1958. She graduated from Saguaro High School in 1972 and went on to work for her parents’ fireworks company.

Pam was the last original family member and also the former owner-operator of Fireworks Productions International Inc., founded by her late parents, Ray (Slick) and Patricia K. Stout. Their fireworks could be seen all over the Valley, from ASU games to the Super Bowl, to special events like concerts and of course, the 4th of July.

Her brother, Todd Stout, preceded her in death after a fireworks warehouse explosion in Tempe in 1996. Her sister, Tracey Stout, also preceded her in death after losing her battle to breast cancer in 2008.

After meeting her husband, Ken, in 1991 they were married 90 days later and remained married until the day she died, 25 years later. They were soulmates and true companions. They eventually moved from Fountain Hills and retired to Peoria to live down the street from their daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Richard, and two granddaughters.

She would say her greatest accomplishment was her daughter, who eventually gave her the best gift she could ask for; not one, but two granddaughters whom she loved dearly.

She was the most genuine, loyal and giving person you could ever have the privilege of knowing. She will be missed tremendously, but we know she's having the time of her life with the rest of her family, whom she missed very much.

Pam is survived by her husband, Ken Hunt; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Richard Anselmo; two granddaughters, Meadow and Juniper; three nephews, Drew and Josh Barnes and Logan Stout Stanford.

Services were held at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., in Scottsdale Saturday, April 30, at 11 a.m.
