I want to publicly thank the Chamber of Commerce, Sharon Morgan and her parade committee for all the hard work they did to have such a wonderful Thanksgiving Day Parade last Thursday.

I also want to thank all the participants in the parade. You all brought joy to many children and adults with this wonderful event that helps demonstrate community spirit and helps make Fountain Hills such a great town in which to live.

Due to my mistake in being unable to read my own handwriting and providing The Times with incorrect information, last week’s paper had an article about the VFW and the Thanksgiving Day Parade with the wrong name of the organization providing cars for the VFW.

The correct name of the club is the Arizona Classic Thunderbird Club. ACTC has graciously provided cars for VFW members for many years and the post greatly appreciates their unselfish generosity.

As the VFW co-coordinator for this event, I apologize to the club, The Times’ editor and to all readers for the misinformation.
