An issue for the Town Council to consider: Have someone go through the town statues and rules and clean them up by eliminating those that the town is not interested in enforcing, or having the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office enforce.

Such as: (and these are off the top of my head) bicycles in Fountain Park (also skateboards, scooters, etc.); dogs off leash in Fountain Park; dog droppings not being picked up in Fountain Park; full stop at stop signs (not even the Sheriff’s deputies observe this); yielding to pedestrians in marked crosswalks; commercial vehicles and town vehicles parking in handicap spaces and fire lanes.

If we acknowledge that the Town of Fountain Hills administration pays bare lip service to enforcing rules, maybe we need fewer employees, and pay for a marginal fewer Sheriff’s deputies.
