Park lawn renovation underway in Fountain Hills

Phase I to be completed this week

Crews can be seen working to remove material as the town is flattening and regrading the berm of the great lawn in Fountain Park ahead of fall events.

Renovations to Fountain Park began Monday, Aug. 24, with crews excavating turf around the “great lawn.”

The turf reduction, grade, drainage work and event usage improvement project is part of Fountain Hills budgeted capital improvement program and was approved by the town council through the CIP budget.

“It is important for residents to know that this is not a standalone project or an unexpected expense,” Community Services Director Kevin Snipes said.
