Irrigation has been turned off and will remain off in Fountain Park and the Avenue of the Fountains plaza in preparation of overseeding between the first and third week of October, according to the town.
The Bermuda grass will slowly turn from green to golden brown before seeding. The turf will be scalped to a height of three quarters of an inch in preparation for the seed application.
Grass will germinate in seven to 10 days. The first mowing will be three to four weeks after seeding.

During that time, park users are asked to remain on sidewalks and the non-grass areas.
Overseeded areas will be extremely wet as irrigation schedules become more frequent.
The grass areas are expected to be re-opened in early November.
