It is encouraging to read the letters flooding in this week at The Times regarding the Town Council’s proposed lagoon.
Insurance liability, required continual maintenance and overall expense are written in red ink. Many people in Fountain Hills own private pools. A letter about flocks of coots in the lagoon should give everyone pause.
Why can’t we be surveyed before any money is spent on research? Peaks Fitness has a large pool. Copperwynd Resort has a luxurious pool. Both are very social and well maintained without raising town taxes.

The last classic car show set a high standard and filled the entire park. Jazz, ethnic and classical music showcase talent. It draws performers and visitors.
Fountain Hills needs roads repaired and sidewalks built. Please hear taxpayers. I read Fountain Hills was voted “prettiest town” in Arizona. That attracts people first.
