The North Heights neighborhood received right at .75-inch with the rest of town collecting around two-thirds to .70-inches.

Passing storm soaks Fountain Hills

The clouds opened to sunshine and the chances of rain began to diminish through Thursday afternoon the passing storm was one that left more rain than forecasters originally thought.
Fountain Hills received upwards of three quarters of an inch in many parts of town, with the rain gauge at The Times office on Laser Drive collecting as much as .90-inch.
The North Heights neighborhood received right at .75-inch with the rest of town collecting around two-thirds to .70-inches.
According to the National Weather Service the rains will give way to the possibility of patchy fog overnight and into Friday morning in Fountain Hills. Overnight lows will be in the low 50 with a high of about 71 on Friday.
A slight chance of rain returns to the forecast on Saturday with the Weather Service calling it a 20 percent chance.
