Workers were on site at the Town of Fountain Hills Civic Center recently to install the shade sails on the steel structure for the event pavilion at the Cutillo Civic Plaza.
The project this summer is upgrading facilities and making improvements to the Centennial Circle, which will now be highlighted by the shade pavilion. Community Services Director Kevin Snipes said additional work is being done over the next week to install new benches and replace pavers and artwork that was displaced during construction.
The shade pavilion is being installed with funding from the capital improvement budget but will be reimbursed to the town through a public fundraising campaign.
