The annual PACC911 and Paws around the Fountain Pet Adopt-A-Thon will be held Sunday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fountain Park.

There will be 50-plus rescue groups represented with lots of animals looking for “forever” homes.

Sponsors include Fountain Hills ADOG, Petco Foundation, Phoenix Animal Care Coalition 911 and Helpful Honda Pet Adoption.

Free goodie bags provided by Petco will be given to all adopters.

Besides adoption opportunities, there will be valuable raffle prizes, food, micro-chipping and nail trimming, free exams and low-cost vaccines by an on-site veterinarian and mobile spay and neuters (visit www.mashvet.net to make an appointment).

In an effort to help Arizona’s two-legged residents find new four-legged friends, the Valley Honda Dealers and the Guys in Blue are hosting their first pet adoption events with local shelters and rescue groups throughout March and April.

At the Helpful Honda Pet Adoptions, there will be a variety of perks such as adoption fee discounts, face painting and more. All adopted pets will be sent home with a new leash, collar and food bowl, and a supply donation will be made to each shelter or rescue group partnering with the event for each pet adopted.
