Carmen Feeny was recently named “teacher of the month” by the Four Peaks Rotary Club.

Fountain Hills Charter School Principal Tom Cox said Feeny is an outstanding educator one of several teachers who teaches multiple subjects to multiple grade levels.

She teaches grades four and five.

“It is amazing to see how she manages to provide a world class education to such a wide variety of students,” Cox said.

“When you walk into her classroom, students are involved in a variety of educational tasks at their own level.

“The integration of technology in to her classroom is essential and is accomplished very successfully.

“Classroom management is amazing. Students are happy, engaged, and successful.”

Cox said Feeny is a school leader, being involved in all aspects of the facility including being the liaison between the school and numerous community groups.

Four Peaks Rotary Club President Bill Beamish and and Paul Perreault, club teacher of the month coordinator, congratulated Feeny and awarded a $200 check for her use.

They also committed to continue the club’s monthly recognition of the Fountain Hills teacher of the month next school year.
