Wow, are we lucky! Those of us that were fortunate enough to see “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” last February will be able to see it again. It will play at our Fountain Hills Theater July 18-27. Yes, it is that good! Plus all you people who whined when you missed it…get your tickets…they will go fast. Call the theater at 837-9661.
Four actors play 40 characters and there is something for everyone. Book and lyrics by Joe DiPetro, music by Jimmy Roberts, produced by Patti Torrilhon, music by Jimmy Roberts and directed by Peter J. Hill but still giving credit to Rusty Ferracane, who directed last winter.
The actors move in and out with short scenes that include one or two vignettes. For example, “Why? ‘Cause I’m a Guy,” “He Called Me,” “Single Man Drought” and “Marriage Tango.” The show-stopper is “Always a Bridesmaid” and all of us with all those dresses hanging in the closet after, can relate.

My next favorite is “Funerals are for Dating” and includes “I Can Live With That.” This will pull at your heartstrings and, for all of us who have been lonely, is more endearing as we grow older. It stars Chad Campbell, Kathleen Berger, Andrew Lipman and Jessica Godber. Adult themes…leave the kids at home.
To our talented theater cast and staff, I love you, you’re perfect, never, never change.
