U.S. Navy veteran and registered nurse John Hart thumbs through a dozen pictures of patient vascular accesses gone wrong.
“A loss of limbs can occur at the very least with some of these medications and sometimes amputation,” Hart says, a board-certified vascular access nurse who has seen it all when it comes to poorly combined vascular devices with caustic medicine.
Preventing central line infections and educating healthcare professionals is why Hart leads the growing clinical team at Phoenix Vascular Access which recently established its headquarters in Fountain Hills.
