Planning and Zoning meets Thursday

The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider a zoning change for a parcel at Trevino Drive and Saguaro Boulevard for a proposed senior living facility when it meets Thursday, Jan. 25.

CA Ventures, a Chicago company, is requesting the zoning adjustment to accommodate a plan for a 196-bed facility that includes independent living, assisted living and memory care.

The existing C-1 zoning would need to be changed to C-2, and the developer is asking for a Planned Area Development (PAD) that would allow for a 40-foot height. A portion of the facility is three stories.

The parcel is approximately five acres and is along Trevino Drive between Saguaro Boulevard and Burkemo Drive. The site had previously been approved for the same use with a different developer.

The commission will also consider a change in its meeting time from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The commission will meet on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
