Planning commission sends town council sign ordinance recommendations

To address ongoing issues with regulations

The Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission has sent recommendations to the town council related to potential amendments to the sign regulations in the Zoning Ordinance.

In January this year, the council directed staff to review the ordinance and propose revisions to the sign rules particularly relating to the use of temporary signs. In May, Development Services Director John Wesley made a presentation to the commission seeking direction and input from commission members.

At the May meeting commissioners were generally not supportive of making any changes for staff to develop. There was also no public input during that session.
