Plencner: Biden will seek another term despite failures

Question from an Iowa friend, "Will Biden do a LBJ repeat?”

Some of us remember that day, March 31, 1968, when President Johnson said, "I shall not seek, I will not accept nomination!" By comparison, the two presidents share wars and riots, but Biden’s lists of bad policy and catastrophic play calling is much longer. The invasion and disaster at our border, the Afghanistan withdrawal, Chinese spy balloons, Ukraine a quagmire, accusations of kickbacks from Ukraine/bribes from China, Mideast has exploded, more billions back to Iran, LPG prohibited by fiat, dead service members, and the fallout from inflation and the gut hit to the economy all are staggering.

At least Johnson appeared to be in his right mind as Joe, like the wicked witch in the ‘Wizard of Oz,’ is "melting" before us. LBJ had the common decency and respect for the presidency to exit, Biden appears to be entrenched, dug in and will go down fighting for...he knows not what.

So, no, I don't believe Biden will take a bow and exit stage left, as he's incapable of finding his way off the stage. Those who actually are "president" find Joe to be useful as they go about conducting the business of the United States.

By the way, Steve Long's letter on Jan. 31 about apartments and who

lives in them. The answer is Democrats. The credible source of that statement was The U.S. Census Bureau.
