Poinsettia thanks

The season is coming to a close and a huge thank you is in order to all those who donated to the poinsettia tree and those who visited the Avenue of the Fountains to enjoy a special moment.

The program is a big success because of the residents, family and friends in Fountain Hills. For those who donated now is the time to take a poinsettia home, this year they are in much better condition. With a little nurturing they’ll last a few weeks.

The Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association recognizes the Fountain Hills Parks and Recreation Dept., which placed the tree at its location; the Noon Kiwanis, who placed the poinsettias on the tree and will remove those left when the tree is dismantled; Jerry and Jackie Miles (keepers of the rings) and Carol Gaziano, who wrote all the cards.

Special thanks to Faye Gridley and Gail Oliphant (Gridley’s Fountain Hills), Kay Kinder (Fountain Fashions) and Sami Fine Jewelry for participating in the program.

The Tree will be dismantled on Thursday, Jan. 14. Get your poinsettia plant ASAP.

Best always; and thanks again for making this program a success.
