Pollution watch for Tuesday

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a high pollution watch for today Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The advisory for PM 2.5 particulates will trigger the “no burn” restrictions for wood burning fireplaces and fire pits.

Also, avoid any activity that generates dust including use of “leaf blowers” for landscape clean-up.

Pollution watch for Tuesday

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a high pollution watch for today Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The advisory for PM 2.5 particulates will trigger the “no burn” restrictions for wood burning fireplaces and fire pits.

Also, avoid any activity that generates dust including use of “leaf blowers” for landscape clean-up.

Stagnant air has been prevalent over the past week causing particulates to accumulate in the air. Particulate levels are forecast to approach the unhealthy range for Tuesday.

People with respiratory problems should avoid exertion out of doors.
