To have a letter published with inferences to a plan to build a “wet and wild” at Fountain Park is misleading to the public and a disservice.

There is no suggestion to have anything built at Fountain Park. Please don’t allow anyone to have a letter published with outright misleading information that will only create false rumors. The concept is in no way a “wet and wild.”

Our committee is forming quickly with qualified residents. We intend to do our research and formulate figures in a professional, thorough report. The public input and informational sessions we intend to organize will be done in a way that all citizens will have the ability to discuss their concerns and/or express their support.

The public input and informational sessions we intend to organize will be done in a way that all citizens will have the ability to discuss their concerns and/or express their support.

Meetings will be open to the public outside of our steering committee board meetings. The information will be provided to The Fountain Hills Times and, if printed, the public will know you have sourced the information and it is accurate.

We are asking for your cooperation as the lead source of community information and request that we work together to assure the citizens of this community they are reading factual information rather than complete lies and disparaging information from uninformed individuals.

The June 25 letter from Charles Vascellaro was completely untrue and libelous toward the project.

We hope he hears it loud and clear that educated residents of Fountain Hills are not going to stand for that type of behavior.

This is an enormous undertaking, and the time and effort of many qualified individuals will be invested free of charge in an effort to present a comprehensive report on the feasibility of such a project.

Avoiding any false information and respecting the time and efforts of all involved would be greatly appreciated. Many projects in town were started with volunteers and a vision.
