Many thanks and kudos to three people who sent in letters last week. I agree with Tom Jensen – why were our residents denied free access to its tax paid for streets and sidewalks? All of his other comments are right on – thanks Tom.
Bob Hersh asks a question that has appeared before and been ignored – why aren’t the Chamber’s books public and audited?
Mary Ann Bosnos is so correct when she compares our beautiful Christmas displays with the tacky plastic of the Chine Festival – and both will be on display at the same time.

I love Fountain Hills and feel a great sadness when I see the carnival it is turning into when we allow these poor displays.
Why shouldn’t the residents who pay taxes and support life in Fountain Hills have a say in what they feel is not in the best taste? I know that some people felt the Chinese Festival was a great learning experience of another culture. I personally find many other ways to learn of other cultures such as books, documentaries, etc.
(Editor’s Note: No public streets were closed during the Chinese Festival.)
