Fountain Park is for the use of the community, and as such many different types of activities occur in the park. Putting up a sign announcing what activity is happening that day is for the community’s knowledge, nothing more.
To ask the town to omit a sign, just because the activity is religious, while allowing signs for other activities, is to ask the town to be intolerant and hostile towards Fountain Hills residents who are religious.
Far from being harmful, prayer and religious activities are good for society. Hundreds of studies have shown that high levels of religious involvement results in lower levels of drug use and promiscuous behavior in teens, lower mortality in adults, less depression, lower blood pressure, less incidents of suicide, increased self-esteem and greater life satisfaction. A review of over 700 studies concluded that the effect of religion on physical and mental health is remarkably positive.

So the movement by atheists and progressives to wipe religion out of the public square, not only goes against the Constitution’s guarantee of freedom of religion, it is trying to wipe out something that is good for us.
Remember that while mankind can be violent, even the religious, the most deadly societies in history were atheistic societies where religion was replaced by the state.
Remember that Mao, in order to gain power and control, invented political correctness, an evil philosophy that is currently being used in America to stop freedom of speech and to drive religion underground.
