The Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church and Church of the Ascension are gearing up for Vacation Bible School and are on the lookout for participants as well as volunteers.

Climb “Everest” and find “Faith Unfrozen” at this VBS.

Youngsters pre-school to fifth grade are invited to this mid-summer challenge. Kids will experience Bible adventures and watch for God in everyday life, breaking into small “climbing crews” to discover practical ways to hold on to God's mighty power.

The VBS will be shared again this year by the Ascension and Presbyterian churches. But before the youngsters can be guided, many volunteers are needed.

Middle school and high school teens are invited to volunteer to be crew leaders. Participants will help make sure VBS succeeds, have fun as well as earn 20-plus community service hours.

Adults of all ages are also needed. Assist as station helpers, crew leaders, admin helpers, hospitality, preschool helpers and more. Volunteer to catch some of that youthful enthusiasm and faith. Adults and teens are also needed to help with set making and decorating.

Vacation Bible School is from July 6-10, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. But before it can happen, volunteers will need to work in their own teams to create the “Everest” experience.
