I would like to extend a hearty congratulations to my friends at the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church on their decision to leave the PCUSA. I know this was an extremely difficult decision which was not taken lightly and was not done in haste.

The deep seated love and commitment to the Holy Bible is evident in this tremendous stand for their faith. Their leap of faith and refusal to compromise scriptural integrity are an inspiration to many.

Having spent much time in discussion and prayer with Pastor Bill Good about this issue, I know how much he anguished over this decision. The entire congregation of Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church can be very proud to have a leader of Bill’s integrity, courage and steadfast commitment to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

This reminds me of another congregation in our community, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, and their outstanding leader, Pastor Steve Bergeson. They, too, went through a very difficult decision and transition a few years ago for similar reasons. Two incredible pastors of two outstanding congregations.

I am honored and humbled to have such friends and colleagues. Blessings to you all.
