Kudos to the mayor and Town Council for closing the loophole that allowed live animals to be given to kids as game prizes. These poor animals are often sick or diseased.

My kids once won two goldfish at a carnival; they went belly up the next day. Rabbits are sometimes released to fend for themselves.

Kudos to the mayor and Town Council for closing the loophole that allowed live animals to be given to kids as game prizes. These poor animals are often sick or diseased.

My kids once won two goldfish at a carnival; they went belly up the next day. Rabbits are sometimes released to fend for themselves.

These are living creatures, not toys. Stuffed animals are more fun to play with than a tiny turtle.
