This warm, encouraging and helpful one-day event in December features video instruction, leadership guidance and group discussion to help you cope with the intense pain of grief during the holiday season. The seminar will be held the second week of the month at the Presbyterian Church.
This program features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death. Topics featured include “Why the Holidays Are Tough,” “What to Expect,” “How to Prepare,” “How to Manage Relationships and Holiday Socials” and “Using the Holidays to Help You Heal.”
During small group discussion time, there are opportunities to interact with others who have experienced similar losses, if desired, as well as enriching participants’ journey with shared experiences.
Many people who have gone through the loss of a loved one are hurting deeply and initially uncomfortable about coming to a grief support group. Griever’s Journey provides a sense of warmth, safety and acceptance in a relaxed and loving environment.
