Married in 1954 at the Mount Carmel church, also in the Bronx, they moved shortly after to North Patchogue, on Long Island, in New York.
There, Phil owned “Sunwave Auto,” an auto restoration shop, while Kathy had a career as an elementary school teacher.

Prosapios celebrate 60!

Phillip and Kathleen Prosapio celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 16. They are childhood sweethearts who met when they were five years old in the Arthur Avenue “Little Italy” section of the Bronx in New York City.
Married in 1954 at the Mount Carmel church, also in the Bronx, they moved shortly after to North Patchogue, on Long Island, in New York.
There, Phil owned “Sunwave Auto,” an auto restoration shop, while Kathy had a career as an elementary school teacher.
They moved to Fountain Hills in 1994. The Prosapios have three children including Debra, a retired radiology director who lives in Chandler; Jennifer, a retired shopkeeper on Long Island; and Phil Jr., an orthopedic surgeon in Minnesota. They also have eight grandchildren.
The Prosapios celebrated with a quiet family dinner.
