“Prosperity is the product of self-discipline, work, savings, and investment by individual Americans... Prosperity provides the means by which individuals and families can maintain their independence from government, raise their children by their own values, practice their faith, and build communities of self-reliant neighbors. It is also the means by which the United States is able to assert global leadership ... Our highest priority ... is to secure the rule of law.”

My hunch is that most, if not all, of you agree with these principles and strive to follow them. The passages are from the Republican Party platform. They remind us of some of the key elements upon which our nation was built and that adherence to them is essential to preserve America’s greatness.

Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party provides our community with the opportunity to celebrate American exceptionalism and our responsibility to preserve and protect it.

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party addresses “prosperity & law” with two guests. Tom Jenney, the executive director of Americans for Prosperity-Arizona will discuss pending legislation that will advance or hinder prosperity and independence from government.

In Arizona, when we think of “law,” who comes to mind? Yes, our special guest on Feb. 17 is our Sheriff Joe Arpaio, aka “Toughest Sheriff in the Universe.” Sheriff Joe will share his thoughts on enforcing the rule of law and the parts of government which have forgotten it.
