Protest

The attempt to rewrite history and portray liberal Democrat Ginny Dickey as a moderate whose views are in sync with Fountain Hills residents is in full swing. The latest manifestation being Gaardsmoe’s letter last week refuting my outing of Dickey for participating in an anti-Sheriff’s Posse and pro-illegal immigration protest. But even a gallon of Hillary Clinton’s BleachBit data scrubber cannot cleanse Ginny Dickey of her long history of left-wing activism.

Gaardsmoe attempts to portray a pro-illegal immigration and anti-police protest attended by Dickey and activist Randy Parraz as a spontaneous neighborhood protest against some motorcycle riders who nosily rode by the police training exercise. Yet the signs held by protestors clearly criticized the sheriff’s posse members, who were being trained inside the closed Four Peaks school to respond to an active shooter attack on our children and called the sheriff anti-Latino for his illegal immigration enforcement activities.

The anti-police training motives of Dickey were further reinforced by her own words in the next week’s issue of The Times, where she criticized the “militarization” of the police, a popular far-left cause. Dickey was wrong to demonstrate against our volunteer posse members who gave of their free time that morning to learn how to put their own lives on the line to save our children in the event an active shooter attack one of our schools.

As for me, I want militarized police trained in SWAT tactics nearby should a deranged gunman attack our schoolkids and I want far-left politicians who oppose such police training far away from political office. I oppose Ginny Dickey for mayor. And by the way, Mayor Kavanagh was also there, inside the school supporting our police.
