In 2022, Fountain Hills resident Lori Troller and a couple of other citizens began expressing their concerns regarding the health effects and proliferation of telecommunications infrastructure around the Town of Fountain Hills.
They spoke up during open call to the public at Town Council meetings.
The initial discussions included both small cell and regular cell towers. Between June 2022 and May of 2023, the discussion evolved to focus on ensuring that broadband applications were installed underground.
