The Fountain Hills Unified School District PTO is teeing off its 16th annual gala this Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Desert Canyon Bar and Grill from 6 to 11 p.m.

Tickets for the event can be purchased for $45 online at fhptogala.givesmart.com, where you can also register to bid on items up for auction such as VIP parking spots, front row seats to graduation or music programs as well as plenty of sports memorabilia.

The PTO is also still accepting donations for the gala.

Silent auction items can be dropped off at the middle school or, for $150, you can name a cocktail of your own creation that will be served at the event.

Gala attendees will also have the chance to take a shot at a $10,000 putting contest sponsored by the Peter and Theresa Conti Foundation for $20 an entry ticket.

The contest begins with a 10-foot putt, then a 30-foot and finally a 50-foot putt which, if made, will result in winning $10,000 split with the PTO.

All proceeds raised from the gala will go back to the teachers and students of the district.

If you need some help with finding childcare that night the Boys & Girls Club McKee Branch will be holding a Parents Night Out event for children five and up.

It costs $30 to register your child with each additional sibling costing $25. Dinner, along with games and crafts, will be provided.
